Winners of 2017 Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases

In order to promote global research on China-specific management issues, the Steering Committee of the Shanghai MBA Case Development and Sharing Platform launched the 2017 Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases. For more information about the winners of the Global Contests in previous years, please visit the news (2016 / 2015).

232 cases were submitted. After a rigorous screening process including initial reviews, blind reviews, group reviews, a Nomination Committee and an International Expert Panel’s reviews, seven cases won the Nominated Case Award and one case won the Best Case Award.

Review Process Announcement of the Best Case Award
Phase 1
Evaluate whether a submitted case meets the criteria of
Shanghai MBA Case Library.

Phase 2
Shortlist up to 10 cases for the Nominated Case Award.

Phase 3
Select up to 5 cases from the nominated cases as the Best
Case Award.
From March 30th to April 9th 2018, the five experts of the International Expert Panel independently evaluated and ranked the eight nominated cases, supported by reasoned arguments. Following the evaluation and ranking, the panel held a teleconference to further deliberate, and one winning case was selected from the eight nominees. The International Expert Panel reached the consensus that the final winning case was representative of the high quality of the contest.
